WEIGHT LOSS TIP THAT WORKS!

IS THE SCALE YOUR FRIEND???

Contrary to popular belief, weighing in DAILY will help you reach your weight loss goal much sooner than doing it once a month or not doing it at all.

I used to believe that the scale didn’t matter it was only how my clothes fit… But then I realized the power of the mind and how weighing in daily truly reaches an entirely new subconscious level that made me think twice about what I put in my mouth.

Those that are afraid of the scale have a mental block ~ they’re terrified of what number will be on the scale; so in turn they eat more calories than they should and gain unwanted weight… and before long instead of reaching for your skinny jeans you realize that your fat jeans are much too tight for comfort.

Studies have shown that using the scale daily will indeed help you lose weight faster!

Trust me weighing in daily will change you from having a scared, fat conscious mentality to a "bring it on" weight loss mentality. It’s highly empowering to get on the scale and watch the numbers go down  as you pursue your weight loss goal.

I’m not saying that there’s a certain weight you should be – that’s a personal choice. But if you want to shed a few pounds then stepping on the scale first thing each morning will highly motivate you to stay on track & focused on your fitness & weight loss goals.

Give it a try for a week and you’ll find that you won’t desire the high fats, sugar & sodium laden foods because you won’t want to see the number go up the next time you step on the scale.

BE REALISTIC IN YOUR GOALS

Be realistic and don't set an unattainable goal.  Start of by a setting a goal to lose a few pounds at a time, stay away from setting a big weight loss number or it will be overwhelming and you probably will give up before you even get started... When setting a weight loss goal you have to begin with a positive mental attitude to achieve ultimate success that will last.  Start off by wanting to lose 5 to 10 lbs, once you achieve that and you find that you want to lose more weight then set a new goal again of wanting to lose 5 to 10 lbs.  Take baby steps it's much easier both mentally & emotionally as you begin to work towards your ultimate weight loss goal.

EAT SMART TO LOSE WEIGHT

By eating smart and often, every 3 to 4 hours, you will be able to keep your waistline down and you’ll find that you’ll have sustained energy throughout the day.

What does eating smart mean? Eating clean and practicing portion control. By having lean protein, a complex carb & lots of fresh veggies with each meal you'll find that you'll be satisfied longer without feeling heavy. Remember, protein builds muscle ~ the more muscle you have the higher your metabolic rate which results in burning more calories at rest ~ who doesn’t want that?

Protein alone won’t build lean muscles however, you have to be active throughout the day and exercise daily to maintain lean muscle tissue. Lifting weights is a must to create a lean, shapely physique which in turn burns fat tissue and builds beautiful muscles. And to wrap it up weighing in each day will keep you focused on your gaols to achieving your fitness & weight loss goals.

So don’t be afraid of the scale, let it be your friend & personal motivator. Visualize your ideal goal weight & the physique you desire each night before you go to sleep and before you know it you WILL see your goal weight when you step on the scale!

If you gain a few pounds, no worries, that’s just a friendly reminder to cut back on your caloric intake and get moving more. The scale truly is your friend, the more than you realize that the easier it will be to get on the scale each morning.

Until next time… Liv Fit, Train Hard & Liv Happy!
